We Want To Inspire Your Inner Chef

Our goal is to make mealtime healthful, easy and convenient. We do all the ground work so you can prepare delicious wholesome meals at home in about 30 minutes without any of the planning, shopping or waste.

At Zest we like to focus on the important things in life, like eating really good food. We like to do things a little differently here at Zest. We care about both the little attention to details and the big things in life.

We also listen to our customers, so if you have any feedback, both good and bad, we’d love to hear it so we can improve. You can also suggest menu items for us to review – we’d love to hear what our customers are craving.

 Chef & Co-Founder

Our Chef thinks food is one of the best things in life (together with a glass of wine which we’re working on next!).

Living in the Cayman Islands for almost 20 years, Maureen is deeply ingrained in the Cayman food culture and has been a part of the international culinary scene for most of her life.

A passionate food advocate and culinary entrepreneur, things started to heat up in the kitchen for Chef Mo when she earned first place at Food & Wine Magazine’s 2013 Cayman Cookout Cook-Off competition cooking for judges Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, and José Andrés.  Later that year she was a speaker at TEDx Seven Mile Beach where she introduced her concept of sparking a “Cayman Style Food Revolution”.

Since then, Chef Mo has immersed herself in Cayman’s bountiful culinary world.  She is a board member of the Cayman Islands’ Slow Food Group, the Director at Bestlife Wellness & Culinary, where the focus is to empower people to live a fulfilling life by making mindful choices, particularly around nutrition. She is a coach for the Youth Services Culinary Team and a Volunteer Ambassador for the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution.  Under this program, she founded Seed2Plate designed for government-run schools which teaches children about where their food comes from and basic cooking skills. Maureen has a Masters Degree from Simon Fraser University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is Certified Wellness Coach and Certified Nutrition Educator.

Working With Farmers, Fishermen & Cayman's Finest Purveyors

Wherever possible, we strive to use locally sourced and grown produce. If we can’t find it close by, we make sure it is the next best thing. Nothing beats a fresh out-of-the-water wahoo, a succulent seasonal mango, or a tomato that tastes like candy!

We are passionate about high quality and nutrient dense foods. Working with local fishermen and farmers allows us to keep sustainability and freshness at the forefront of everything we purchase. We use Non-GMO, hormone & antibiotic free, humanely raised ingredients. You can find all ingredients in our sauces, dressings and spices listed on our website so you know exactly what is in your food.

If any local purveyors are interested in working with Zest to have their products featured in our menu, then please send us an email with your contact details.

The Only Footprint We Want To Leave Is In The Sand

Through our quest for providing an out-of-the-box service in the Cayman Islands, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact.

We don’t use any single use plastic containers and all our products are delivered plastic free unlike other meal kits. Any containers that you may think are plastic are actually plant based products that decompose.

All of our ingredients are appropriately portioned to minimize food waste; by using Zest you can say goodbye to throwing away thousands of dollars worth of unused food.
